Billboard, I believe that ALL of Adele has earned the right to be on the cover. Just saying, for next time, when she comes at us with 23

This has been a great year! Fashion and design saw the return of colour , the social networks influenced and fueled people’s uprisings, which means it was a great year in the news and my blogtrotting got a bit of a boost with a discovery of a few great bloggers. The past 12 months have been worth writing about so here’s my review of the year that is almost done, as I experienced it...

I Passed!

There was never really fear about me not making the year, well that was until Introduction to Business Administration and Accounting entered my perfectly blissful life. I’m the kid who, instead of using the colourful counting blocks we got in preschool to count, colour coordinated them, so don’t judge. I didn’t get an A, but my dad is super proud.

I am always looking for wonderful and insightful blogs to follow. Lookbook.Nu  is my second home so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered homegirl’s page . She makes me wish I needed to wear glasses. Check this look  out, if this is not a prediction of things to come  I don’t know what is. All in all my cyberspace life has been wonderful this year. Check out my Stardoll   and search for The Pop Princess if you haven’t already.

This has been a great year in music, what with the release of a number of highly anticipated albums which more than lived up to the hype; I name: Beyonce’s 4, Adele’s 21 (yes the albums with number titles seriously raked it in), Drake releasing a follow up album Take Care  – then he and Young Money  boss Lil’Wayne coming to our shores. There was also the tragic demise of Amy Winehouse. We got properly introduced to JCole and as I was still winding down from Loud my girl Rihanna released singles off of Talk That Talk . And even people who aren’t into the Afro-pop and Afro-soul sounds sat up and took notice of a girl name Zahara who, with her debut release, reached for heights  set by the legendary Brenda Fassie. Kings of Leon and Coldplay broke my heart as I was too broke to attend either concert.

Ding Dong

This would have been the third and a half year of having my bed, but my dad came to the rescue and thought I was due for an upgrade. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my bed, it’s been with me for a time and has seen me through good and bad times in a... Who cares?! I got a new bed!

The Morning After

This  has to be the best thing that happened in 2011, for me. I get to write about all the things that tickle my fancy, I get to be a part of an awesome community of women, where I learn a lot about life and living. The best part is that I get to be an ambassador for one of the greatest brands on the market. It’s no secret: I [heart] Sealy.

That is my year in a nutshell.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Useful information. Fortunate me I found your web site accidentally, and I'm surprised why this twist of fate did not happened in advance! I bookmarked it.
