I love the celebrity world from where I am, perched on my couch for a few down hours watching E! and trying to keep up with the Ks. Or like yesterday when one of my followers retweeted a musician (excellent one too) who needed a few followers to reach two million (between you and me I see this all the time on my TL, people aiming for the next social network milestone.) I thought I'd look into how demanding celebrities are when it comes to beds, bedding and bedrooms...
The lady of the moment my girl Rih who's recently broken the VEVO record for most video views in 24 hours (shout out to the NAVY) with her new video for the song Where Have you Been has to start us off. According to an article on MusicRooms Rih requests that there be a king size bed on the set of her music videos so she can catch some ZZZs during downtime.
Mariah Carey (-Cannon?) has for the longest time been known as the queen of diva demands. According to this article Mimi flies in her own bed linen. That's not so ridiculous in my book. You never know what kind of people were on the hotel sheets, but surely they are washed... Okay, I'm just saying if I could afford a million-thread count sheet -- or better, Egyptian cotton! -- I'd fly it everywhere I went.
The picture above isn't much of a mystery, what with the faces of music royal couple attached... Yes, the Knowles-Carter-Z's bought the most tweeted about baby -- and general record breaker--princess Blue a designer crib that reportedly cost quite a bit.
And then there was Nicole Kidman, a movie star who isn't that relevant to my generation. Don't look at me with that judgmental raised eyebrow! Go on, think of a Nicole Kidman movie... Not Nine because in my heart and mind it lives in the shadow of Chicago, think of another one.
See, I told you.
Anyway, according to this compilation (click on to read about JLo's white room demands) not only does Miss Kidman send her own 800 thread count Italian sheets ahead to whichever hotel she has made a booking along with a diagram of how she likes her bed made.
This takes the cake!
In her defense, she's (was?) the face of the Chanel No5 fragrance.
That's it from me, all the diva in me needs is my Sealy bed and my favourite quilt.
Cheers to the weekend!
