Don't tell the account payers aka my parents that I have had time -- in the midst of he last semester of my final year -- to sit in front of my laptop and mindlessly procrastinate on the internet. But I have and it's wonderful to see how the creative mind has evolved, we're at a point where if your creative juices aren't flowing you can either draw, go for a walk, play paint ball or pin.
I find the Louis Vuitton rubbish bag very ironic, especially considering the current economic climate. Since 2009 celebrity types have been accused of being reckless with their spending and being insensitive to the plight of regular people. Even our very own Khanyi Mbau and Kenny "Mr Sushi" Kunene have had to answer for their flashy spending. The general view on celebrity culture has been that it's as fast moving as a conveyer belt and it's about throwing money away.
I don't know if it's hypocritical of me to admit I found the picture of the LV waffle maker that's been making the rounds quaint. Both will probably have the LV price tag but the waffle griddle holds possibility of cute waffles and melting ice cream and strawberries. The bag would be going to landfills, throwing non-biodegradable money away. Maybe I am a bit biased because of my love for waffles.
Today, the 2012 London Olympics kick off officially (cue vuvuzela.) GO team SA! GO! The Morning After's blood is green and gold!
I saw this adorable picture from the team USA photo shoot. Everybody is, wait for it... smiling and being all adorable! The only way this photo shoot would be better is if they were snapped mid-jump on Sealy beds.
More "adorkable" pictures of Team USA here.
